600 kilometers from the capital, Flaine with 146 kilometers of slopes and access to the fifth largest ski area in France: the Grand Massif. Hosting high-level ski competitions, Val-d'Isère is a paradise for skiing pros. It deploys one of the best off-piste areas on the planet. Connected to the ski resort of Tignes, it offers 300 kilometers of slopes of all levels, in the heart of Savoie. To reach it, you will have to drive between 6:30 and 8:30 from the capital. By train, the journey takes between 4 am and 5 am to Bourg-Saint-Maurice train station, located 30 kilometers from the station.
With 410 hectares of marked trails, Les 2 Alpes takes you to the middle of the Ecrins. You can ski there for a good part of the year thanks to its fabulous glacier culminating at 3,600 meters of altitude. No less than 92 pistes await you in this resort, one of the highest in the Alps. To hit them, you will have to drive between 6 am and 8 am on the A6. If you prefer the train, the nearest station is Lancey, 89 kilometres from the station.
