The Flaine ski resort alone represents 64 groomed slopes, but also vast spaces for freeride. Almost half of the slopes are blue. The Flaine ski area has:

  • 5 black tracks.

The highest ski resort in the Grand Massif, Flaine is also ideal for ski touring, even offering a night course at the Montée d'Aujon. It also has a Nordic area and a groomed cross-country ski slope.

Beginners of all ages can discover the joys of skiing safely in Flaine. 80 ESF instructors are present in the resort of Flaine to conduct courses of all levels. Toddlers can learn to ski in the snow gardens at Flaine Forum, Flaine-Forêt and Les Gérats. The resort is also home to an International Ski School (ESI).
 

The ski pass to Flaine

For the Flaine ski area only, the day pass is €53 for visitors aged 15 to 74 and €42.40 for children aged 8 to 14. Children under 8 and people over 75 can access the slopes free of charge. For full access to the Grand Massif ski area, it costs around €4 more per day.

How to get to Flaine?

Located near the Swiss border, Flaine is one of the most accessible ski resorts in the Alps. By train or car, you can easily reach its slopes.

 

Easy access to Flaine from Paris

Flaine is one of the closest ski resorts in the Alps to the French capital. 600 kilometres from the Eiffel Tower, the village can be reached by TGV from Gare de Lyon in Paris. You will arrive in Cluses, station located 30 kilometers from Flaine village.

 

Getting to Flaine by train

If you come from another French city, the closest TGV stations are Cluses and Geneva. You can easily find taxis, buses or shuttles to the ski resort.

 

Getting to Flaine by car

You go with your family and prefer to drive? Then take the A40 motorway in the direction of Geneva/ Chamonix. You will then have to take exit 19 towards the center of Cluses. Continue in the direction of Sallanches on the N205 then finally head towards Flaine/ Les Carroz on the D106.

What is the best time to visit Flaine ?

The exclusive panorama of the Flaine resort can be enjoyed in any season. If you come mainly for skiing, you will have to wait until mid-mecember. The ski area remains open until the end of april, but the snow in Flaine is at its optimal level in january.

 

Are there activities for non-skiers in Flaine ?

Skiing is far from the only pleasure of skiing in Flaine. Thrill seekers can try their hand at ice driving, Ice Quad, Mountain Kart or Moonbike. If you are not afraid of heights, you can also try bungee jumping, paragliding or hot air ballooning. The resort of Flaine is also suitable for hiking, including the Col de Pierre Carrée.
